Emergency Food and Shelter Program

Application submission is closed. Award announcements will be made on July 28th.

The National Emergency Food and Shelter Program (EFSP) has made $262,172 available for emergency food and / or shelter services in Spokane County for funding cycle from October 1, 2016 to January 31, 2018. These funds are Federal funds made available through the U.S. Department of Homeland Security. The intent of this program is for the purchase of food and shelter, to supplement and expand current available resources and not to substitute or reimburse ongoing programs and services or to start new programs.

The National Board has decided to run Phases 33 and 34 almost concurrently, due to the delay in the receipt of funds for Phase 34. This means that EFSP Phase 33 spending period will be from November 1, 2015 to January 31, 2018 and Phase 34 spending period will be from October 1, 2016 to January 31, 2018. This application process is for Phase 34 only.

Non-profit agencies providing these services are encouraged to submit the below application and related document no later than 5:00 pm, July 12, 2017 to Andrey Muzychenko.
