Impact Stories - Liberty Park Community Development Center

Equity in Action

Liberty Park CDC empowers youth through hands-on learning and leadership roles. Two teens from the neighborhood were hired to support programs and learned about banking, paychecks, and job readiness. A 12-year-old refugee earned his Washington State food handler’s card and now helps in the community kitchen. These opportunities, supported by United Way, help young people build work skills and confidence, showing peers what’s possible.
