A Brighter Tomorrow
At just 16, a student in Spokane County was overwhelmed by severe depression and anxiety. She was withdrawn, falling behind in school, and isolated from her peers. But through school-based counseling, made possible by United Way support, she received consistent mental health care tailored to her needs. Over time, she developed coping strategies, reconnected with school and peers, and rebuilt her confidence. She has since graduated from counseling, stabilized her emotional health, and is now thriving academically and socially.
