SPOKANE COUNTY UNITED WAY WORKS TO CONNECT INDIVIDUALS TO VOLUNTEER SERVICE.
To address our community's needs, promote a greater understanding and appreciation for diversity, and empower youth to make Spokane County a better, more equitable community.
We encourage leadership, volunteerism, and philanthropy among youth ages 13-17. We believe in our youth's ability to become leaders in the advancement of our community and recognize their capacity to create solutions to the challenges we face as a society.
The President's Volunteer Service Award
Spokane County United Way is a Certified Organization to issue the prestigious President's Volunteer Service Award. This is a great honor that we use to lift up and celebrate youth in our community for their volunteer service hours.
A Special Thank You
Thank you Freeman School District for piloting YOUTH UNITED with your students. In the past three years, 25 President's Volunteer Service Awards have been handed out at Freeman High School. These awards represent 4,953 hours of community service which is a volunteer impact value of $143,587 for our community. With this success we are excited to expand this opportunity to youth across our community.
