The Emerging Leaders Society in partnership with The Spokane Journal of Business presents The Spokane Philanthropy Awards on Tuesday, October 19, 2021 at Barrister Winery. Nominations for awards are made by community members.
In these unparalleled times, it is more important than ever to celebrate people who serve our Spokane community. We want to recognize the Philanthropic Heroes that support our community. The Spokane Philanthropy Awards are intended to highlight and celebrate those who are making a significant impact in addition to their public/private sector employment and/or retired status. Nominees' impact should be primarily within Spokane County (Spokane County United Way's service area).
To qualify for this award, the philanthropic entity should demonstrate outstanding community commitment through financial support, executive/employee involvement, and the encouragement/motivation of others to take leadership roles toward philanthropy and community involvement. Entities need not be Spokane County-based but should have local operations.
To qualify for this award, the philanthropic individual, couple or family should demonstrate outstanding community commitment through advocacy, leadership role(s), mobilizing efforts toward a cause, volunteerism, and supporting philanthropic contributions in Spokane County.
