National Service Recognition Day: April 7, 2020 Supporting If You Could Save Just One

National Service Recognition Day is an initiative of the Corporation for National and Community Service (CNCS) and was first launched in 2013 to recognize the positive impact of AmeriCorps members and Senior Corps volunteers.

Annually, Spokane County United Way partners with the City of Spokane Mayor's Office to complete a major service project on the first Tuesday in April. This project provides support to a local agency and promotes volunteerism and compassion throughout our community. AmeriCorps VISTA members are key volunteers in this effort.

Each year, National Service Recognition Day attracts $10,000 - $20,000 worth of project supplies, materials and over 80 volunteers to the selected agency.

Thank you to STCU, Team Depot from Home Depot, City of Spokane Mayor's Office, and Inland Northwest Associated General Contractors for your support of this year's National Service Recognition Day.
