WHAT DOES IT MEAN TO LIVE UNITED?

boardchairIt means recognizing that whether or not we know
a child, it matters to everyone if that child grows up
to be a contributing member of this community.
That’s why we focus on Education and making sure students achieve their potential. It affects the well being of our entire community.

It means understanding that when any part of this community is struggling financially, it affects the prosperity for all of us. That’s why
we focus on Income so that families increase their financial stability and opportunity. It affects the economic health of our entire community.

It means seeing that things like mental illness, drug addiction and family violence are problems that ripple throughout our community. That’s why we focus on Health so that people make healthy choices. It affects the overall health of our entire community.

We all have a stake in creating a healthy prosperous community. We win when a child succeeds in school, when a neighborhood turns around, when families have good health and workers have solid jobs.

We recruit the people and the organizations from all across our community who bring the passion, expertise and resources needed to get things done. We invite you to be part of the change. You can give, you can advocate and you can volunteer. That’s what it means to LIVE UNITED.
